We ran this morning in honor of fallen firefighters Jamie Dickman and Steve Machcinski.

Jamie worked hard, and trained harder. It was not uncommon for Jamie to be reading something and trying to get us to do something new.

We will be running/walking with or without turnout gear / SCBA to the Erie County Firefighters Memorial for a moment of silence, then running back to the fire station.

Brother Dickman spent the first 10 years of his career with the Perkins Township Fire Department. Both PTFD and Toledo Fire & Rescue will be escorting Jamie to The Chapel Friday morning.

Many of those involved with the First Due Tackle blog and our firefighter fitness efforts have worked alongside of, trained with, and ran with Jamie Dickman.
