Next weekend at the New York State Association of Fire Chiefs conference I will be presenting a school bus extrication class. “Basic Through Advanced School Bus Extrication Techniques”

This program will quickly progress from basic school bus extrication techniques to advanced techniques that include: window, door, sidewall, roof, and floor breaches. Stabilization challenges and heavy lifting options will be discussed as challenging scenarios will be presented such as: under-rides, rollover pinning, driver entrapment, and roof intrusion causing entrapment.
