Emergency Access Door Only On Division 3

2FF Gebelle sent these pictures  over.  His crew in Horry County, SC did a walk-through of a local hospital.  On the third floor they noticed a door at the end of a hallway with an aluminum bar grid.  It was a sliding door with a locking mechanism on the outside.

The sign on the door states “Emergency access only.  To be used by local fire department.”  The only way to access this door from the outside is via extension ladders due to limited access and an overhang.

It could be used for rescue, means of egress, and/or to bring up hoselines or other equipment.  Great information to add to a preplan.
